2nd  Workshop on Data Assimilation & CFD Processing for PIV and Lagrangian Particle Tracking

From December 13-14, 2017 the 2nd Workshop on Data Assimilation and CF Processing for PIV and Lagrangian Particle Tracking will take place in Delft, the Netherlands.

The deadline for one-page abstract submission is on September 29, 2017

It is also possible to attend the workshop without oral presentation.

Talks are planned on the following areas:

  1. Data assimilation techniques for flow measurements / PIV / LPT
  2. Dense velocity/acceleration from volumetric measurements
  3. Lagrangian particle tracking in densely seeded flows (e.g. STB)
  4. Pressure from PIV / LPT
  5. Variational techniques using adjoint Navier‐Stokes for PIV / LPT
  6. Kalman filtering techniques for flow measurements

Following the success of the first workshop last year two keynote lecturers are invited:

Prof. Dr. Peter Schmid, Imperial College, London

Data assimilation and dynamic observers for data-based flow field recovery;

Dr. Dominique Heitz, IRSTEA, Rennes

Coupling experimental and computational fluid dynamics: synopsis of approaches, issues and perspectives.

Note that registration on http://cfdforpiv.org is required for attendance.
